A useful guide for item differences between the series and this proboard, as well as how they work here> basically, just general item knowledge.
-Usage: the usage of any item in the middle of a battle will cause you to permanently lose that item. It will also cause you one full turn, meaning the post in which you use the item in must be completely dedicated to using that item. You cannot attack or dodge or defend during the post you decide to use an item in battle.
"Pokeballs"
-Generic Ball: Different types of pokeballs have different levels of strength, which allow you to capture pokemon easier depending on the situation.
When throwing a pokeball, the staff member playing the pokemon you're facing will roll a dice using the "dice" tag. Each type of pokeball has a level of difficulty of which it can catch the pokemon. The higher the numbered difficulty is, the harder it will be to catch the pokemon. Pokeballs are the weakest, with the highest difficulty in catching pokemon, while a Masterball will typically catch a pokemon without fail.
"Healing Items"
-Potion: A potion will heal your pokemon's health by roughly 20% for basic form pokemon, 10% for second form pokemon and 5% for third form pokemon.
-Super Potion: A super potion will heal your pokemon's health by roughly 40% for basic form pokemon, 30% for second form pokemon and 20% for third form pokemon.
-Hyper Potion: A hyper potion will heal your pokemon's health by roughly 80% for basic form pokemon, 60% for second form pokemon and 40% for third form pokemon.
-Max Potion/Full Restore: A max potion or a full restore will fully heal the health of any pokemon so that it is in perfect health.
"Regular Items"
-Map: The map allows trainers to both access certain areas on the board but also allows them to navigate through certain boards. In certain areas, if a trainer enters without the "Map" item, then they will not be allowed to leave until all their pokemon faint, they use the pokemon move Teleport, or Dig.
-Evolution Stone: This stone is used to help evolve any pokemon that does not evolve by the regular level evolution. This includes pokemon who evolve by trade, by stones, by holding an evolutionary item or who evolve during certain weather conditions and times of day.
-S.S. Tidal Ticket: This ticket allows the trainer to travel on the S.S. Tidal in order to catch the unique pokemon that travel on and around this boat that can't typically be caught elsewhere easily accessible.
-Poke Net: A Poke Net allows the trainer to choose the pokemon they wish to battle as well as its level without having to roll dice in order to get these statistics. Other characteristics such as ability and gender can also be chosen.
